Sea to Sea, England
Classed as the UK's most popular challenge cycle route, the Sea to Sea route will take you from Whitehaven on the Irish Sea to Tynemouth, Newcastle, on the North Sea. Heading East will first take you through the spectacular Northern Lake District before climbing up and over the Pennines and descending down into Newcastle. This 140 mile route will take in a mixture of minor roads, disused railway lines and even some off-road tracks if that takes your fancy. There are always road alternatives but the nearly 80 miles of traffic free riding is like nothing else found in the UK. Why not join us for a long weekend and ride across the country? What more rewarding way could there be to see the beauty of the UK?
Can I ride a segment?
Yes! You can ride any distance that works for you.

Click here to sign up as a segment rider. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to email or call 201.50.ENDMS anytime.
What kind of experience do I need?
We welcome riders of all skill levels! Prior to arriving to orientation we require that you ride at least 500 miles on the bike you are planning to ride, and two back to back days of at least 60 miles. This will help you become familiar with your bike and will make the first couple of weeks more enjoyable.
