About James Whateley
Having spent the last couple of summers riding across America, I thought it was about time I tried a challenge a little closer to home. An end to end ride of the Birtish Isles has always been a keen interest of mine. Despite the UK being relatively small, there are still huge areas which I have never been to, so what better way to see them than by bike!
After the incredible help I received from the Bike the US for MS Trasam crew on my solo trip in 2012, I am constantly looking for ways to pay back my dues. Last summer leading the TransAm 2013 group was an incredible experience and now I want to step it up a touch. Althought Bike the UK for MS is just getting started, I have ambitions to make it grow into something similar to that in the states.
Close to 100,000 people have MS in the UK and yet there are still no known cures. We need to change that and fast! We are looking to split the money we raise between research and development for treatment and also helping those who need it most. Having seen the joy and gratitude from those who we helped while in America, I know that the money we raise will make a huge difference to peoples lives!
All donations are greatly appreciated and every little bit helps me to reach my targets.
