About Lily Le
Cycling has been key to the recovery of ongoing health conditions which recently prevented me from working full-time for over a year. When this opportunity came up to help others dealing with their own health difficulties, there was a significance I couldn't ignore.
Those who know me will think I will be in my element on my bike in the summer of scenic England. Wrong. Cycling through the hills of Lake District and the North Pennines will push my physical and mental capabilities. No doubt I will be close to tears at the bottom of every hill behind all the other riders.
So with this in mind I hope you will take pity on me and feel sympathy for the 100,000 people living with MS in the UK, and sponsor myself and Grimey (my beloved bicycle) to ride an average of 50 miles a day through wind and rain (British summer) during the (literal) uphill struggle of cycling from the East to the West Coast of Northern England.
A suggested donation is 15p per mile (totalling just under £22 for 141 miles). I understand that not everyone is in the position to do this, and every penny will help. Please feel free to donate more if you feel able.
Funds will be distributed to local branches to fund service projects and aid members suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, as well as to clinics devoted to finding a cure for MS.
Bike servicing sponsorship provided by Little Biker Boyz.
